One of the first snowflakes

What a difference a day makes, yesterday we had glorious sunshine, the birds were singing and spring was in the air. But today, as forecasted, it snowed! not much, just a smattering really, but oh the excitement. William (almost nine) was not so keen, I remembered not so long ago, we have on very rare wintry occasions, woken him up or stopped everything to take in the wondrous scene, had a snowball fight and made a snowman, not today though, he had more pressing 'boys' things to do! Florence and I though had coats, hats, boots and all the other paraphernalia on within minuets of the first flake and were skipping around the garden trying to catch snowflakes on our tongues, like two little girls ( well, one of us is ) that have never seen snow before. I did feel sorry for Tabitha though, she has only just learnt to walk so there was no skipping for her and she has been poorly as well, so common sense won and had to watch from the window, sorry hun, next year you will be older!
