Red sky in the morning...
(Under a blood red sky)
...Shepherds warning! I have grown up with sayings like this, my grandparents used them and they are as much a natural use in my life as it was for them and probably their parents and grandparents too. I wouldn't do without them and hope that my children remember, use and pass them on as well. A little old fashioned I guess, but such a beautiful way of explaining something and so true.
More bad weather is forecasted this week, more snow and more freezing temperatures, the UK hasn't had it this bad for 20 years the news keeps telling us, though where we are, no snow just rain and judging by this mornings sky, the UK is in for a rough week.
When the sun rose this morning it was breath taking beautiful and only lasted for roughly five minuets, enough time though to whip out the camera. As soon as it was gone, out of curiosity I turned the news on for the weather forecast, it seems the morning sky has really forecasted the upcoming weather.
Lets hope traditions like these are passed down through generations, like old wives tales, they may seem simple but 'oh so true'. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 'red sky at night' very soon though.
