Spring Watch

Spring is in the air, everywhere I look around, la la la, la la la. OK so the opening line should be 'Love is in the Air' but who could blame me for feeling so heady after the past couple days we've had down here.

We have been so lucky, the sun has shone for two whole days now and it's been a warm sun at that. I really do not want to come across as being boastful, but it has been beautiful and glorious and warm!!

For two whole days now I haven't felt chilled to the bones and had that 'not been able to get warm' feeling. The patio doors have been kicked open and the house has filled with fresh air and bird song. I nearly hung the washing out today for the first time this year, it has been that warm!

So today we all agreed on a stroll to the park and have a little 'Spring watch' the walk and the park in itself were lovely, the children played and were beautifully behaved, but there was no 'Spring watch' it was not from the lack of trying, I guess it is just a little too early and we were too keen to spot that first open daffodil.

Home for lunch and all was forgotten, but heading into the back garden to enjoy 'the moment' I decided to have a little poke around, brushing back fallen leaves I found primroses almost ready to bloom, blackcurrants about to flower, leaves uncurling on the hydrangeas, clusters of crocuses and much more.

This is just the start and there is no stopping Spring now, welcome back, you have been sorely missed...

...and if the sun keeps shining the whole process will just speed up, yeah for Spring!

If however you are in the mood for love, this is the place.

Have a lovely weekend - whatever the weather!! xx
