Fruitful Pickings

We spent yesterday afternoon picking the last of the soft fruits from the heaving bushes in our garden - a glorious day with the sun on full pelt. Town still crowded more tourists and visitors plus the beaches full we settled for a day in the garden tackling this very therapeutic task.

White currants - don't you just love the translucent look? The seeds visible from within their skin and...

...dessert gooseberries.

Though as fast as we could pick them little hands wet from the paddling pool kept appearing to pinch the odd one to pop into mouths.

As for the grown ups we far preferred ours popped into a glass of cold fizz!! Well it was hard work all that picking you know.

Have a lovely Sunday - we're off to the beach the first time in what feels like ages. xox
