It's all sewn up and raring to go!! 'Yep' I actually did it. I finished my crochet bag and within my deadline too - now that is 'really' good going for someone that has difficultly finishing most things. Okay, so it has taken me a ' wee while' but I guess I'm more chuffed with myself for sticking with it than the actual finishing. That's not to say I'm not happy with the result, far from it. It's just been my 'biggest' crochet project so far, to date and I didn't give up, yeah!! - big achievement on my part.
The pattern I followed was this from the lovely Lucy at Attic24 (apart from the handles) and after seeing this idea at the also lovely Gephart 836 I decided to line my bag mainly to hide my messy inside (not a good look) but with a twist!! 'Oh' there is always 'something' I have to do differently!
I decided that I was always fed up trying to root around the bottom of 'any' bag trying to find stuff - in this case crochet hooks and chocolate (ahem!) ....
...soooooo I added a couple of internal extras!!
Pockets for my hooks and scissors...
...and more importantly a pocket big enough to fit a reasonable sized bar of chocolate and my MP3 player - well priorities here, please!
Anyhow I am so utterly chuffed with my efforts that I have a huge grin stretching right across my face.
My bag isn't as 'b'eautiful as some I've seen out there in the 'Land of Blog' but I would say A++ for effort maybe?? Or would that be a little bit too modest on my part do you think?
Have a tantalising Tuesday and a lovely last week of the summer holidays - now for my next crafty project 'ah' yes school labels, boring!! xox
