Mixing Yarn

Waiting on fabric to be delivered I'm finding myself swinging in between sewing and crocheting at the moment and not really being able to settle my attention on any one project which is a little bit frustrating in itself.

Unless of course it's a quick crafty fix that has a benefit like the two tops I've recently sewn for myself and little Boo that is.

I know what I want to make, but until my supplies are delivered then I'm kind of stuck in limbo.

Not being satisfied by the chevrons I'm crocheting and not wanting to start on a quilt I've had in mind for an age I've resulted in turning to my 'other' stash of yarn that I bought at the same time as the Debbie Bliss for my 'Little Blanket'.

Probably another 'wip' for my ever growing basket no doubt, but the only thing I can think of to restrain the urge not sit on my hands, twiddle my thumbs or wile away the evenings is to get excited over a new project (for now that is) as knowing me that will be the only thing that will keep my attention.......for a little while.

Though 'what to make?'

Welllllll, I may have another *sigh* go at the ripple though I'm not holding my breath - my poor uncoordinated fingers (and brain) feel more inclined to call my attempts a muddle rather than a ripple, but 'hey ho' let's give it another go and it will certainly keep my attention for at least an evening or possibly even an afternoon.......maybe. Also not being one to give up so easily there's a little voice inside my head telling me I must try again.

'or'

I have been eyeing up this wantsome pattern for quite some time so if the air goes blue down here in Kent over the next couple of days then the ripple gets frogged and 'tally ho' let's give that a go.

I must say though that any plans or progress will get stuffed to one side when my new fabric does arrive and 'oh boy' let me tell you, it is gorgeous and apparently 'on it's way' - whoo hoo!

Really and truly I can't wait to show you what I've bought as it is absolutely scrumptious, but I'll have to save that little show and tell for another day, if that's OK?

Anyhoo, must go my stash is calling and I've still got to sort out all the school stuff for tomorrow before I can fully relax.

xXx

ps. also thank you all so much for the wonderful, wonderful comments you posted yesterday on my 'Schoolhouse Tunic' I was absolutely bowled over. I can't remember having so many messages and they all truly bolstered my sewing confidence - thank you. Nxxx
