Water Babes

Hello one and all, did you have a good weekend?

We had a wonderful weekend pottering around, a bit of beaching and a lot of weeding at the allotment and it looks like the first of the homegrown strawberries will pretty much be ready for picking this coming weekend (fingers crossed) so you know what that means?? We will be jamming at the weekend!

I was going to post something this morning and even though I'm slowly getting back to my good old jolly self and a routine, stuff kind of got in the way.

Shopping, washing and all that malarkey and I don't know whether it is just my ten year old, but he seems to be eating us out of house and home at the moment - maybe it's just a growth spurt though at this rate it will make him taller then me. I guess it was going to happen at some point, every one's taller then me!

I think I've posted more pictures over my past couple of postings then I probably do in a couple of months. Though I dunno away for a week with not a jot, nothing at all then 'bam' more photos then you can probably cope with - I know it's fuddled my brain somewhat trying to categorise the whole lot!!

Anyhow, so not three days (tops) sorry, but I just couldn't resist sharing these pictures with you and my water babes beside the river.

Notice how I'm not in any of the shots??

Well even though I love to be near water, actually climbing in is a completely other thing for me so behind the camera I stayed and very happy doing so!

We've kind of come to the realisation these past couple of weeks that as long as we (as a family) are near some kind of water then it wouldn't matter where we lived at all.

The sea, a river or stream, pond, lake, estuary or harbour, it makes no difference to us and the nearer the better. This stream was literally at the bottom of the garden and we deliberately had the windows open at night so we could here it trickling past.

But at the moment we are a ten minutes stroll away from the sea, which isn't bad I know, but it still takes some effort to get down to the seafront and neither sight or sound can be had from our house. Saying that I know people that would love to live where we do and we do, honestly but it's not our ideal.

So for now we continue going on in our everyday way and maybe, just maybe one day we will have our dream.....all wrapped up in to one.

Where ever it may be.

I hope you had a wonderful, wonderful weekend and as for today and the rest of the week.....are they looking like a good one?
