Weekend Stuff

OK, OK so I know the weekend probably feels like a long and distant thing of a memory and something that happened almost over a day ago........for my memory that's like ages!! But our 'regular' little computer has a nasty case of 'computer says NO itus' and is currently sticking it's naughty little tongue out at us and blowing big fat raspberries so until we can take it to the special computer doctor we are trying to work off the eldest boo's laptop - which was probably 'the' state of the art three years ago, well maybe five tops, but honestly it is soooooooo slow!!!

So please bare with me for a while especially if I owe you a reply, answer or 'helllloooo'

Anyway, what did you get up to at the weekend - anything interesting?? Sorry, not too nosey I hope?

Blimey, now I'm having to put my thinking cap on - what did we get up to??
.
This will be interesting as I can't even remember what I did this morning let alone a whole day ago!! I know it involved getting up (early - bah!) and the school run, but seriously ' what did I do this morning??'

Hey ho, at least I have my pictures to jog my fuzzy head into some kind of recollection of this past weekend.

Now then Saturday.

Ahhhhhh yes Saturday - it's all coming back to me......kind of - too much elderflower champagne - now I remember, or not as the case may be!
.

Saturday involved mucking around with water, Mr Blue Skies and lazing in the back garden, drinking elderflower champagne, making - and eating- strawberry shortcake. I even dusted off the Breville toasted sandwich maker.....I know, I know very 1980's!!
.

The kids had great fun slipping and sliding down the water slide and a water balloon fight broke out around lunchtime - even Rufus joined in the watery fun.
.

Then toasted sandwiches all round - do you remember them? What was/is you're favourite filling?
.
.
Just plain old cheese and ham for the kids, but roasted onions, tomatoes and cheese for me polished off with some fizz - adults only mind you.

Sunday was early morning sitting in my nightie (very glamorous!) on the back door step drinking a mug of chamomile tea, listing to the birds singing, watching the day unfold and reading the latest copy of Country Living that conveniently plopped through the letterbox Saturday morning.
.
.
And what a copy it is!!
.
I must, must, must have an outside log cabin style retreat as surely it will help unmuddle my muddled mind - even a done up shed would be fine. Seriously I have a bad case of the wanties in this department!! Have you seen Emma's??
.
Then on to the rest of the day - well once the rest of the house had surfaced we headed on down to the beach to meet up with friends for much chatting, swimming, lunching, wave jumping, water football, drinking of more fizz - afternoon siesta!! - body boarding, paddling and sandcastle making, though not so much of the Mr Blue Skies on Sunday, but we all had fun and a tub full of sand which reminds me, still needs washing away.

And that's all I can remember....or should I say my pictures have reminded me though the rest of it must of been pretty average if I can't remember......like the Sunday night ironing pile and getting stuff ready for school - thank goodness the kids break up soon.

Well 'that's all folks' best toodle pip for now - it's only taken me two hours to get this posted!
.
Though if it doesn't look like one of my normal postings then blame the laptop - nicely mind you as I still have to rely on it for a while!

Have a fabulous week - hopefully the 'regular' computer will have a nasty injection of updates and a purge of anything nasty that may be lurking and all will be ship shape and tippity top very very soon - it better be the Toast archive sale is on!

xXx
