The Festival of Food
Good morning, good morning - do you know that sounded so lovely I had to say it twice!
Well if you were in my neck of the woods this weekend - weather prevailing that is - I wonder if you visited the Victoria Gardens for the Food Festival - or 3 day food fayre?
I think this is a fairly new festival to Broadstairs and if I remember rightly this is only it's second year in.
But the array of food on offer was outstanding and being a family that likes there food we had to go around most of the stalls sampling the wares on offer - most of it local and all of it homegrown or homemade - you can't get better than that.
Bacon, halloumi and mango relish baps, a hog roast, cheese, Thai, local fresh grown raspberries, venison sausage rolls, pigeon pie, freshly baked bread and cakes, cakes glorious cakes....to name just a few.
Oh and of course the local tipples!
Though stuffed to the rafters after filling our faces on our walkabout lunch we only came home with a selection of cheeses - very nice they were indeed though!
And in another part of Kent -
Did you go??
To be honest we completely forget even though we had the -ahem - reminder circling our heads and with the weather on Sunday being perfect kite blustery.......perfect, gawd knows why it slipped our minds!
And on a final note - for a bit of fun - can you tell which picture(s) Mr Boo took?
I'll let you know tomorrow.
What did you get up to this weekend - just gone?
