Well it was going to happen sooner or later - the trees emptying their leaves all over the garden.
I guess we are fairly lucky it's only taken until last week that I've actually had to start raking them up. But it's one of those jobs - once you get started you just can't seem to stop and on top of spending the weekend out there clearing them away, on opening the curtains this morning another fresh load has fallen - tis that time of year.....again.
Also I'm starting to notice on a daily basis that the temperature is dropping.
Is it OK to have the heating on low alllll day or is it better to switch it on - just take the edge off - then turn it off again - repeating as and when it's necessary?
I've never figured out that one.
Though I do have to say it is still looking all golden and delicious out there, but with more of a mellow yellow tinge rather then all russets and burnt umber - check me out being all creative with my colours!
But I guess it is just a matter of time before the trees are completely bare so until that time I will keep sweeping and raking until all that has fallen is no longer there.
Well not until the little ones have had their fun first that is.
Did I join in?? You bet I did!!
