Nina Nixon

I'm Nina, a photographer, film maker and forever wanderer.  Passionate about nature, the great outdoors and all of life's adventures.  This is the place where I keep all my 'field notes'

I'm still clinging on to these last days of Autumn like the leaves that are left after the onslaught of the gales still holding on tight with all of their might.

Though like them the realisation that my most treasured month is slowly slipping away bringing with it much colder air and a chill that will curl your toes.

I took these pictures just a mere two weeks ago can you believe it?

The elements have had a right royal field day recently trying to rip every last little leaf clinging desperately on to their branches.

These pictures were taken down in the village where my parents live in Hampshire - no chance of seeing this amount of trees where we live - walking along the tree lined roads with a carpet of fire orange leaves crunching beneath our feet.

On into the woods for a breath of fresh air and to clear my head with only two little Boo's in tow.

It had rained solidly the night before so it was rather damp and squelchy - in a muddy kind of way - entering the wood, but a walk was much needed for those dratted cobwebs that so desperately needed blowing away.

My seasons change every three months, so to me Winter will start in December.

And for these last couple of weeks I am still loving, still savouring (and saying) that it is still - officially - Autumn. My most favoured and loved of all the seasons.

{can you spy the littlest Boo?}

Have a fabulous day and I hope you had a most wonderful weekend - are you still feeling the autumnal love?
