Some of you may of noticed - well I know you have because you've been asking 'what is the hand stitched thingy?' from this post.
Well I can tell you that it is the other makey thing I made for the Littlest Boo for her birthday - well this and the birthday crown, but she will not (gawd knows why) wear that.
Last year I made her this - you have to scroll down a wee bit to see the little deer and birdie picture I made her.
And for big sister I made this, also viewed here for her birthday earlier in the year - again you have to scroll down a bit.
I think I may have a thing for embroidered birthday pictures.
Anyhow, I've spent many an evening stitching this little picture up and I even used the spare scraps from her dress to edge the whole thing to pull it together and carry on the red and aqua theme.
Then with a little o ring on the back it is all ready and waiting to be hung up on her bedroom wall - once finished decorated that is. Any day now, any day (cough, cough) - along with her framed Summer Hill bunnies from Catherine. Oh how patient they have been.
And I changed the stitchery colours around - just a little - from Tasha's embroidered picture as I wanted to (kind of) represent my girls in the best - captured - light as possible during their growing up years.
I know at some point though in their life these little memory items will be tucked away in a box - far too embarrassed to decorate a teenagers room, but hopefully they will be kept, held on to and treasured.....for ever - a little bit of their old mum and her stitchery adventures!
*original source of embroidered pattern - a little sweetness found here.
