In the garden

I didn't realise I had taken so many pictures until I uploaded them onto the computer - oopps!

I tend to have days like that where I take picture after picture and then other times when I don't pick the camera up for days - I think it's something deep rooted and possibly to do with avoidance. Most likely the housework at the moment.

Anyhow, our garden is positively bursting and budding at the moment.

Chives are in bloom and the strawberries are flowering!

I'd like to say it's probably a combination of all the unseasonal warmth we've been getting and night time showers that are the cause, but apart from the past two nights we've had no rain for weeks now.

The South East is the place to live!

{can you see the little spiders? - That's how tiny they are}

I've spent the best part of today out in the garden getting dirt under my nails and potting - more - seeds.

I have this grand plan you see to take a part of the allotment over and give it a burst of colour.

Veggies do look nice all neatly lined up in rows and are most delicious, but there is not much colour 'umph' about them. In my opinion that is.

So I've got pots of self seeding plants all starting to come up.

Forget-me-nots, Calendula and Love in the Mist just from the top of my head and on a whimsie cornflowers and marigolds so fingers crossed it will all look colourful as well as good to eat.

The veggies that is not the flowers.

Have a smashing end to a wonderful day - not literally mind you.
