Lustrous, pale and pearly

:: or shiny gray in colour - the definition of silver ::

A wee while back I was ever so (and I mean ever so) lucky to win Emma of Silverpebbles giveaway.

She was celebrating her third year in the wonderful, weird and sometimes mad, mad world of blogging.

Now if you are not familiar with Emma, she makes the most beautiful, delicate and intricate pieces of desirable and fashionable jewellery taking inspiration from nature and the surroundings around her using handcrafted and vintage pieces to pull her work - or should I say 'craft' - together.

Not only does she have her own Etsy store, makes pieces for galleries and sells at vintage fairs - the Pick 'n' Mix makers market just this very weekend to name one - but if you can't see what your heart desires then she can custom make to your requirements or brainstorm incorporating all your ideas to fashion the perfect piece.

Very talented indeed.

This is one of the reasons why I love her so much - her work is enticing and very, very beautiful.

Plus silver is one of my most favorite metallic elements to wear and at the heart of the matter - she is just a really, really lovely person.

We've never met - as yet - but have spoken on the phone and many, many times over email and if you were to ever ask me if out there in the mysterious land of blogging to name three people I would dearly love to meet - Emma would be on the top of my list.......for sure.

Anyhoo, see for yourself - the ring is absolutely gorgeous all twisted and crafted together beautifully.

Even though we did have a bit of a giggle over the phone trying to fathom out ring measurements! And musing over the wonders of toddlers.....as you do.

It also matches one of the pieces - perfectly - that I received from her last year for a wedding.

And as for the sketch book - well let's just say 'keep an eye out' - I have grand plans all bursting and bubbling over at the moment.

Keep a close eye on Emma too - I think you may be seeing a lot more of this ever so talented young lady in the media very very soon.

Thank you Emma

xXx

ps. and thank you for all your kind words on my new header. My family think I'm mad fiddling around with these things, but.......hey ho!
