Paper Flowers

These are not really paper flowers they are the sweetest smelling and prettiest peonies that are adorned on the chest of draws at the end of our bed at the moment and are bringing me one of the most simplest of pleasures.

I'm sure though with a bit of know how and some tissue paper you could recreate this look and something nagging at the back of my head tells me I have indeed seen this......somewhere.

I've never being a girl keen on dried flowers (hydrangeas being the only exception) or pot pourri so I wait, once a year for one of my all time favourite flowers to bloom - peonies and sweet pea are my top two with their paper like petals and heavenly scent and I don't think I'm going to have to wait long for the latter either.

They are already starting to show budding promise.

Hedgerow flowers being my third, but no chance of finding many of those down here on the coast and roses my fourth - gosh this list is starting to get a bit lengthy.

Anyhoo, peonies are top of my list at this time of the year and how beautifully seductive they are.

:: thank you for all your lovely comments yesterday they really made me find a little inner confidence. No back lash yet, not that I'm expecting any, you just never know living in such a small community.
