I'm Nina, a photographer, film maker and forever wanderer.  Passionate about nature, the great outdoors and all of life's adventures.  This is the place where I keep all my 'field notes'

Busy, busy, busy

It's that time of year again and I feel I'm becoming over whelmed with the amount of stuff going on at the moment in our small family.

Three children means three sets of sports day, three Summer fairs and an event for every 'other' club my little ones do.

Shows, dances, end of term, winding down, packing and cramming it all in - it feels never ending at the moment.

So many apologies if I've not replied to any comments or popped in and said 'Hi' recently.

Why do they leave it all until those last few weeks of the school year when everyone is getting ready to chill out and relax for the long Summer weeks ahead.

There is too much stressy in my life at the moment and if there is one thing I do not do well it's stress.

I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed the month of July.

Anyway - I'm sure you didn't pop in today to hear about my woes plus it's not all doom and gloom. We did manage to escape to the allotment for an hour or so yesterday morning.

Whilst every one else seemed to hit the beach we teamed our summer dresses with wellies (very Good Life) and spent a glorious couple of hours tending to our patch and tentatively testing some of the up and sprouting produce.

It's looking really good down there at the moment. A bit more in tune with a jungle though if I have to be honest with huge big brassicas towering every where, but it's all looking really lush and green.

And although the strawberries have pretty much finished we've got courgettes ready to pick and young peas to pod and eat in salads and potatoes flowering. To name just a few.

All that back breaking hard work is worth it in the end.

{these ones are not eaters yet}

Well I'm finding it hard to suppress my yawns - today has been one of those marathon days. Short, but hopefully sweet with a little 'oh dear' chucked in for good measure.

Have a lovely evening - back soon.
