What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

A jolly good read and a fresh bunch of flowers.

Supermarket bought as our poor old garden is looking rather bare these days. Summer seems such a long time gone and faded all away, but in its place it is looking rather gorgeous with its burnt umbers, berries for the birds and greenery.

Just a shame I can't pick that and plop it in a jar to bring indoors and enjoy.

The kids are down the beach and I am left behind, happy to potter organising a roast for this evening with some tasty kind of sticky pudding for afters.

School books to finish reading, last minute homework for tomorrow, dinner, bath, antiques roadshow and sleepy children into their beds.

I love Sunday afternoons and all that I know will come. A family day - very similar to how our Sundays unfolded when I was a kid. Minus the dads lunchtime trip down to the pub!

Happy cosy Sunday afternoon-ing to you all and the routines that you enjoy to follow.
