I'm Nina, a photographer, film maker and forever wanderer.  Passionate about nature, the great outdoors and all of life's adventures.  This is the place where I keep all my 'field notes'

Come rain or shine

                                                                                                                 ......but mostly rain.

When the darkest of clouds turn black and only the foolhardy or bravest of souls dream of venturing out - on a day like that.

I think we were probably just fools, but......!

When you're fed up with the grey and feel like you've been cooped for an age.  Some might say they couldn't bare the very thought - almost on house arrest, of a sort - then what else is there to do, but throw caution to the wind and say 'sod it!' let's wrap up warm - make sure you're wearing wellies - and go for it.

And that's just what we did.

It was a brilliant afternoon all murky and swirly, gale force, wind blasted - and sea.  You couldn't tell where the sea stopped and the clouds started, the horizon just seemed to keep on going on forever.

And we didn't get wet - which is always a bonus.

I wouldn't normally brave it on such dark days, but with the sea just ten minutes away from our doorstep the 'shall we?' turned into a  'why not!'

And as we were leaving, heading back home, trudging back up that hill - the clouds slowly started to part and blue skies could be seen, peeking through all that grey and darkness - making a welcomed appearance - and it didn't rain......a single drop.

Where is your favourite place to walk on a grey and windy day?
