Sweet tooth

All this very British weather we are having at the moment (as strange as it may seem) is starting to take a toll on my waistline - if I'm totally being honest with myself.

When I should be thinking about fresh salads, fruit and produce - home grown and foraged - lots of walking, digging, evening bike rides along the seafront and really getting stuck into the season, all I want to do is shut myself away in the kitchen and whip up lip smacking treats for us to tuck in to.

Comfort food I'm guessing.

Even my doctor commented today on how Winter like it is.  I guess we were all really spoilt in March.

And for the weekend.......well it's not started well.

I've already made a cake filled with fresh cream and the second to last pot of strawberry jam left over from our home made stash of last year, which I found hidden in the back of the pantry.  I'm thinking I wasn't meant to find it!

Hey ho, grab a spoon and a cuppa of your favourite brew - it's most likely going to be another wet one!

Here's wishing you a fabulous weekend - don't forget my 'giveaway' ends this Sunday - just making sure everyone gets a chance.

ps. we get the Summer beach hut this weekend 'yay!'
