Blown away

We've just got back from a lunchtime stroll and in true Mary Poppins style - were almost blown away.

It's gale force down here today and if you peek over the back garden wall, dotted all the way along - back to back - all my neighbours (including me) have their washing hanging out.

It looks like a sea of billowing bedding......and knickers - that'll be me!  Never one to turn down an opportunity and dry blustery days are certainly an opportunity at the moment.

Anyway.  From washing to waves, there are a fair few down on the coast this afternoon and after a week of being cooped in it felt like a much needed tonic to be out in the fresh air getting blown about dodging waves and their spray.

The beaches have been given the all clear now so I think - I think - we may be heading down to the beach hut this weekend, weather permitting and all.

We've not been down at all in the past 'uuurrmmmm' two months it's been standing - only a quick soggy dash to chuck essentials in like a kettle and the wind break. So if we do make it - I hope - then I will finally post those pictures you've been waiting for.

Though I fear the spiders have probably taken over and are squatting in our hut at the moment.  It may need a very big broomy *squeal* clean out before we can actually use it comfortably.

Happy Friday to you all and here's wishing you a wonderful weekend too.

If I don't manage to catch up and pop in over the weekend then I'll see you on the other side.  Toodle pip for now.
