Before the rain

It's all gone kind of grey again *big sigh* and I'm sure like many other bloggers I am just another one looking up at the skies and thinking 'June now July, come on......really?'

I do hope this is a sign that the whole of August is going to be a wonderful feast of warm sunny days and balmy BBQ beach filled evenings.

I can live in hope.

Anyhoo, we did seem to have a couple of lovely sun filled days last week - I even caught a bit too much sun on my back weeding one afternoon.  'Naughty. naughty......I know' but it kind of caught me out.

Even the weekend was fairly reasonable - well down here on the Southern tip......give or take the odd shower or four on Sunday.

But before the rain set in 'again' our days did feel like they were starting to fill up with lots of summery goodness.

Now I sit behind rain speckled windows looking back on pictures I took only a few days ago.

Melancholy has snuck up behind me and is tapping me on the shoulder because she'd like to stay for a while and keep me company.
I best go put the kettle on and rustle up a baking storm......in case she decides to stop for a wee while.

'Hello' July and welcome - I think.

On a more lovelier note 'hello' to the Old Police House - huge big welcomes and waves.
