Folk festival

The folkies are back in town.

Overnight our little town has filled up with the weird and the wonderful, the magical and mysterious and even the strange and eye boggling.

Everywhere you go your ears are greeted with all kinds of different music wafting out from a variety of establishments......or just picked up and floated along on the August sea breeze.

The jangle of bells is a far more familiar sound around these parts at this time of year then at Christmas time with Santa and his sleigh.

And the rhythmic thumping of drums lets you know that within a couple of foot falls you could get swept up at any moment in the merriment of a morris side entertaining you with their tradition dancing ways.  Hankies swirling in the air, swords clinking or sticks being beaten together - the whoops and cheers transporting you to an age old England and a lovelier way of life......for a while or two.

Have fun if you're joining in or just visiting - it's a lovely vibe.
