I have this little shady spot right at the end of our garden under the apple tree where I can sit and stare, watching and waiting - ever so patiently - for as long as my bottom (or the kids) will dare.
Which is normally about ten minutes......if I'm lucky with the latter.
And if the weather is fair I get up extra specially early whilst the rest of the house sleeps in their beautiful slumber to catch that very first light of the morning and the critters that go about their business.
With camera and cuppa in hand I tread as softly as I possibly can so not to disturb a peep - in the land of nod or scuttling around - to just sit perfectly peacefully slowly waking my senses up, enchanted as the fresh new day unfolds.
But if the house is busy with the noise and hustle and bustle that goes with it then I try and sneak out softly, tip toeing down to my 'secret' shady spot to be with mother nature and the wonderful things that live and visit my tiny piece of garden where calm is restored again.
Here's wishing you a most beautiful day and a wonderful new week - I can't believe it's the last couple of days of August *big sigh* - where did that go I wonder.
