Return to center

We've just got back from a 'last minute booked' holiday in the Cotswolds - I hope things didn't seem all of a jumble over here whilst we were away.

Not wanting to shout out 'we're off!' I scheduled some posts during the week so not to think I had completely jumped the Tabiboo ship and I'm loving reading all the comments you left......thank you. I still have a wee bit of catching up to do though, so if you haven't heard from me yet - I will get there......eventually.

So what did we do and where did we go?  Here's a mini run down of our week away.

We stayed just outside Cirencester in a beautiful olde worlde Cotswold cottage with just a twist of modernisation.  Located on a single track lane that made the mister of the house a little twitchy driving along - I'm used to country lanes growing up in Hampshire.  Here is the link if you fancy a peek.

Arrived in a mahoosive thunderstorm that made the rain sweep down the lane in a torrent of water that made us gasp with a strange delight to witness such happenings and when the skies cleared we 'oohed' at the views and 'mooed' at the cows that live in the very next field only parted by a beautiful dry stone wall. Like us they were curious, but we all knew to keep our distance - we just gawped at each other really.

We went to 'the most' famous circus in the land and had an absolutely marvellous time.  I'll elaborate more another day.

We fined dined on cakes at 'Hobbs House Bakery' in Nailsworth and lunched at 'Made by Bob' in Cirencester......to name just a few.  To be honest we ate out most days - lunch and dinner - and my middle is certainly grumbling about it now.  But 'oh boy' all that delicious local food.

Curled up in front of the wood burning stove most evenings - it was pretty cold last week - and enjoyed the peace, the quiet of all distractions......including not having any internet connection.  It was lovely.

Went on nature hunts and paddled through puddles, went on lots and lots and lots of walks and sat one evening gazing up the stars and an amazing full 'blue' moon......and went on lots of walks!

That was our week, well a mini version of it and I'm sure I've forgotten a few other things, but hey ho - not wanting to bore and all that.

We've returned back to centre - well kind of.  I'm feeling a little off kilter with the dratted post holiday blues and I'm in complete denial that the kids go back to school at the end of this week.  Still so much to do *gulp* but then again I have no one to blame but myself for agreeing to a 'last minute' holiday.

It was fun though (huge big grinning - cheesy - smiley face!) uh huh.
