The greatest show in the land
Come and be dazzled, astounded, captivated and enchanted to the core.
Get ready to ooohhh at the magnificent jugglers, aahhhhh at the daring acrobats be wooed by a flock of white doves, gasp at the horses, swoon at the tightrope walker and laugh and laugh and laugh until the tears stream down your face at the capers of Tweedy the clown......plus lots, lots more.
To be honest I was completely transfixed by the whole show, became so engrossed by the wonderful acts that it's all become one great afternoon of fun big blur. It was fantastic!
So let the show begin.
The mister of the house managed to bag front row seats and you know what that means if you're sat at the front? 'Yep' you get noticed!
I came away with quite a bit of sawdust in my hair that may of floated (thrown) in my direction and not to giggle too much, but the mister was pin pointed by a certain cheeky clown whereby his sunglasses were whipped from the top of his head and replace by a shocking red tuft of hair. Which then in turn prompted a certain policeman to try and cart him off......well sort of.
The girls admitted afterwards that they had 'clung onto daddy's had really really tightly' for fear that it wasn't a hoax - for all of the two maybe three paces he actually stepped - but of course the policeman realised it was a big set up and apprehended the naughty Mr Tweedy instead.
Naturally it had us all rolling around with laughter and the hilarity of it - even my blushing mister thought it was most amusing.
The rest of the show was was one great big ball of fun and entertainment and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
I wouldn't say we travelled all the way from Kent just to go visit the Gifford's circus, but do you know what, we jolly well would - year after year - an annual treat......'just' for the amazing Gifford's Circus!
Roll up, roll up, come feast your eyes upon the greatest show in the land......and quite possibly 'the most' famous as well.
