Escape

I love where we live, I truly do.  But sometimes - just sometimes - it's nice to explore pastures new.

OK so not 'all that' new to us.

A little jaunt at the weekend took us a bit further along the coast to Deal - still in Kent - but it was like inhaling a breath of fresh air.

Standing on the pier looking back across the stretch of coastline, smiling at the timeless chalky white cliffs that flank our piece of shoreline wondering just where our little bit of home started......and ended.

Then turning in the other direction looking out to sea spotting (quite clearly) from where I stood the coastline of France. Did you know you can do that on the clearest of days - down here where we live.

And it was a beautiful crisp, clear weekend.

That's home in the faraway picture by the way - just in case you were wondering.

It's nice to escape once in a while, to remove yourself from everything and all......just to recharge the batteries.
