Hill walking

Well the weather stayed fine - better than fine - this weekend for us and we made it to the top of our big hill on Saturday.

Strictly speaking it wasn't 'the exact' hill I had in mind because not being at all organised - I had the picture in my head and how to get to let's say - but at the end of the day we couldn't find the road (or path) that would lead us to our definite destination.

So we opted for walk number two - which we stumbled across if I'm being totally honest - to somewhere I've always wanted to see part of and take in......the North Downs Way.

We had a stunning view out across Folkestone and the day was so clear we could see France and all along her facing coastline for miles (again).

So all in all not an utter wash out or wasted journey - we had lunched beforehand in a posh restaurant and I reckon that's the reason we were feeling a little sleepy and couldn't find our way.

Not being the complete 'leave it until the last minute and follow the force till we find our way' kind of adults the mister and I seem to be 'oh no!'

It works most of the time (cough, cough).

I hope you had a grand weekend too and a little bit of that fresh and sunny, crisp autumnal weather touched you too.
