Made

I can't believe I actually made something.

Looking back at my posts - and having to do a 'sewing' type in to find, I reckon the last time I made a 'some thing' was back in March of this year- that was the last time I touched my sewing machine with any real purpose or intention.

OK so I have used it for the more mundane of sewing needs like making button holes or taking up hems - it's not that easy being a shorty of a person in the hem department.  Always either too short or too long...there's no in between if you're lacking in the teeny tiny frame or long leg department.

Anyhow not the most tasking of projects, a little patchwork quilt made of red, blue, cream and green backed with the softest of red fleece - so nice and bright 'eh!'  I even managed to sneak a little bit of my favourite gingham fabric in too.

But it is made with thought and love and 'oh so much' intention for my new baby nephew born two'ish' weeks ago and who I can't have a cuddle from until the end of this month.  Too many commitments at home is halting us doing the travelling.

But come the end of this month just you wait little fella - your eldest auntie will be on her way ready to shower you with lots and lots of snuggles....and the cutest of gifts.
