Nina Nixon

I'm Nina, a photographer, film maker and forever wanderer.  Passionate about nature, the great outdoors and all of life's adventures.  This is the place where I keep all my 'field notes'

I overheard a conversation between an older lady (by accident - the older generation do like to talk that little bit louder...don't you think) and a cashier in the bank this morning that really made me chuckle.

The older lady was saying how nice and beautiful the snow was, but how lovely it disappeared so quickly.  If that was a guarantee then let it snow several times a week!

Yep - The snow is gone.

All washed away by the onslaught of yet more rain late yesterday afternoon. Why not more snow Mr Weather person - it was cold enough!?.

All that freshness just melted away in almost a blink of an eye.

It settled here so thickly yet a few miles out - not a thing - not even a flake...the mister told me so who travelled that way very early in morning.

The only thing left standing is the snowman (melting slowly) sat alone in the back so many others are in neighbouring gardens I pass.

The sun is out today, the rain has also fled - not for long though I'm sure - and it is bitterly cold.

If you follow me on Twitter (the button is over there on the top'ish' right of the page marked with a little bird) you will see the absolutely freezing pictures I took this morning down on the seafront - I was sooooo cold.

Have a beautiful day.
