Postcard from Malvern
After not planning on holidaying this year we have just come back from a wonderful relaxing week in The Malverns.
We decided last week might be a good chance to escape - if we could find something so very last minute - as my wonderful hubbies book was (officially) launched and published yesterday. So before the interviews, book signings and media attention grabbed his attention and life we wanted to spend a little family time together.
After much looking around we fell upon the beautiful English home of fellow writer, blogger and editor of Anglofilia Mia Folkmann. It was the perfect place for us to spend the week as a retreat relaxing.
From the sweeping drive up to the house to the garden, fields and surrounding views. We went to bed sighing at and woke up smiling at those beautiful views.
We climbed hills, crossed fields and even found a fabulous tree to climb.
I'm so glad we managed to squeeze a break in over the Summer holidays and even more thankful we found Mia and Hollymount.
All back to reality now and a mountain of washing to get through. Thank goodness we're set for another heatwave this week.
