Last weekend we took the girls down to Dungeness - to the furthest most point of the Kentish coast . A little over an hour (door to door) from our home to the RSPB site.
To be honest we were a little apprehensive on visiting as all the times we've driven by it's seemed a little bleak, a tad desolate. But the moment we stepped out of the car we were captured by her beauty.
Dungeness has a hidden depth about her that is so difficult to describe. And even though we spent the whole day there we felt we only peeked at her loveliness, had only touched upon the surface of her beauty.
And the girls did what they loved best. They played at being nature girls, capturing and noting all that they found and saw.
I can't wait to go back again though it may have to wait until the Autumn. To delight in another season, another quality to the enchanting magic of Dungeness.
