I love boats with their bobbing, polished wood, buoys, over sized chains, funny names, ropes, anchors and other stuff. I could sit and watch them all day - from the shore - and if docked all the better.
The tide is at her lowest this time of year and you can almost (almost) walk out for miles...or the impression of miles anyway.
But the coast down here is all silty and it feels like you're walking on gooey mud. That's why the water looks so grey in these parts. When the sea starts churning all that mud gets swirled around - not all lovely and aqua where you can see right down to the bottom.
Maybe that's why I dislike the ocean so much here. I have to be able to see my feet!
I'm waffling - I know. A combination of tiredness and stress - they never make a great union.
I'm off to sooth my soul with a cup of frothy decaf (with chocolate sprinkled on top...of course) and some apple cake....have a great day.
