Done and dusted
Well that's the Summer holidays over and finished with, the kids are back at school and already I'm counting down the days until the next school break.
That's not to say I'm done with the Summer, but I do love this transition into slower cooler days.
We've had a few ponders over this Summer and I have to say we've decided that 'yep' we are going to move nearer the countryside (definitely) sometime next year. Whether we stay in Kent or move...completely, has yet to be answered, but good schools are a major factor...especially with GCSE's looming. Any suggestions would be greatly received.
Though the 'where' is the biggest question. It has to be UK - jobs define that - but the 'where' could be anywhere...now that's the adventure.
The reason being...well! I want to be able to hang my washing out in a nice long line, not get woken at stupid o'clock by bloody seagulls. Wear wellies and county attire without feeling like a plonker - it's just 'not done' at the seaside. Feel the swish of long grass, climb trees and explore streams. Walk and walk until my legs ache and ride a bike without the fear of being knocked over.
The list is long and I could go on for 'ever' but now we've made that final decision it will happen, for sure.
So long Summer holidays - you did us proud and gave us that push we've so badly needed.
