What can I say...I love Kentish cobnuts - by the bowl full.
As seasons change and October knocks on the door punnets overflow at the fruit and veg stalls almost threatening to tumble their wares, the abundance is ever so clear.
At this time of year I spend my evenings with nut cracker in hand splitting shells discarding them into the fire. It's the lovely little, tasty gems inside that I require.
So versatile, but yet so under rated.
Almond in shape but with a familiar taste that gives its family connections away. Hazelnut - if you were wondering.
Oh yes the cobnut is one of my all time favourites and one day I will have an orchard of my own.
