Nina Nixon

I'm Nina, a photographer, film maker and forever wanderer.  Passionate about nature, the great outdoors and all of life's adventures.  This is the place where I keep all my 'field notes'

Film school

A year ago I was very lucky to win a place on 'Capturing Childhood' - a collaboration of Kat and Kat bringing their knowledge and super powers together, sharing them out for the greater good and guidance for all.

And I've finally 'finally' got round to completing my project.  Though in honesty, it shouldn't take a year - we've just had circumstances beyond our control thrown at us this past year that meant everything got put on hold...indefinitely.

The project I wanted to do (without a shadow of a doubt) was the 'Shooting stories' course where I had to compile, put together, edit and create a short film.  The subject matter was my choice.

We've become very attached to the ducks on the canal since moving here - they are a constant and a welcome smile when we've been feeling glum.  They can turn the most etched on of frowns into a wrinkle free face.  And even a giggle from a sulky teenager.

I hope you like my short film - the first of I've got the bug.

nb.  I'm going to move my weekend Bucket List to a Monday over the holidays and make them only makes sense.
