What a week!

It was far more hectic than I though it would be, but then isn't that the way?

When you feel like you have time, time slips away.  And before you know it you're retracing your steps and end up back at the beginning of your day.

The only thing I didn't manage is finishing off  'the thing' I wanted to make, though I did make a good start. Oh, and also making time.

You know, the kind of time when you say 'yeah, a minute!'

I didn't want to do that this week - I wanted to make time.  But a two day migraine wasn't factored into the plan of things so I actually wasted a kind of way.  Though I am a great believer in listening to my body and if my body says 'rest...or I'll make it tens times worse for you!' then I tend to tune in and do what it tells me.

I also cheated at baking.  But when you're dishing up dinner and the kids say 'can we have something quick and chocolatey for pudding' apart from going 'ahhhhhhh or no!' I whipped up some super quick cornflakes cakes with an Oreo stuck in the top of each one.

Not your or my idea of a day of baking but the kids where chuffed to bits and in my book that's a success.
