Campfires & Marshmallows

With the nights drawing in but the weather still mild enough to spend outdoors it's the time of year we like to celebrate nature's last hoorah.
I'm the first to light the home fires, cosy up 'nest'. But if I can eke out as much time outside I will push it until our breath becomes like dragons, puffing in the cold and blowing out the warmth. Though chattering teeth will always see us head back indoors.
A little seasonal ritual of campfires and marshmallows always brings a smile to my heart. Normally on a Sunday night - s'mores have become a favourite treat...to round off a hearty roast and nod at a delightful weekend.
Just one of those little things that makes us (as a family) who we are. Memories made, skills learnt...traditions passed on.
