If you've been wondering why I haven't been around as much lately it's because I've been enrolled on a film making course run by the lovely Xanthe Berkeley since the beginning of September.
I met Xanthe this Summer at Blogtacular (tickets are now available for next year by the way...and I'm going - just to give you the nod!) and was hugely inspired, maybe a little in awe if I'm honest. There are not many people I hold in high regard, being a down to earth kind of person and all, but Xanthe is definitely on my list of awesome people and she is just as lovely in person. Her naturalness is poured and oozes into her films and that's what appeals to me - genuinely nice, all round splendid and ever so talented.
I will be sad when the course (for me) is over as it's such an amazing and supportive community of hugely brilliant and skilled folk, but I've learnt so much over the past couple of weeks and am so thankful to Xanthe for having a passion for film making and sharing her knowledge. For me it has sparked a whole new something else.
If you are interested in taking the plunge like I did then you might be interest to know enrolment for the next 'Creating Time Capsules' is now open.
I have one more piece of course work to make and submit - which I'm still trying to figure out to be honest - and then it's up to me to take what I've learnt and venture out into the world, continuing to create 'Time Capsules'...but for now here is a little film I made under the guidance of the course and my second piece submitted.
I hope you like it.
