Pink & Grey

Since the 80's I've had a strong aversion to any colour teamed with grey.  Unless of course it's white because that just makes plain old sense...to me that is.

If you grew up in that decade you will remember the decor.

Grey stripes with lemon was a strong (all over) theme and a teen girls dream to have her bedroom made over with such lushness. 'Yep' - that was me.  It beat the the big swirls of orange and brown flowers my folks were so lovingly fond of....any day.  Unless of course you were posh and your parents kept the colour palette to separate walls.  Now that would be far more sensible and I did have a mate with just so parents.

These days though I think a lot has come on in the way of colour.  Maybe a little too much with all the fancy names and slightly different tones of beige.  It's beige for goodness sake!

But grey is winning me back.  Even if it is set with a more subtle, muted even pastel (dare I say) hue . And yes 'even' with a stain that is slightly above purple in my least favourite of colours.  Pink.

I think I'm mellowing with age...or maturing.  I haven't quite figured that one out yet.

I wanted to add and say thank you to you all for popping in, saying hello and connecting me with some really rather fabulous people on my last blog post.  It's made me realise that maybe all is not lost, but also to re-think how I should do things.

For instance I set Bloglovin up to offer another source of connecting, but I don't actually use it myself.  Being an old fashioned kind of blogger I still like the followers button, but maybe I should take another look at it. Plus finding other ways to bridge the gaps.

Where I use Twitter and Facebook as my social media platforms and add almost all updates there, I do appreciate not everyone else does.

You've given me a lot to think about and made me realise not to give up hope.  For that I am really grateful.

Thank you so much - you guys are amazing.
