Families of the North (and further afar) have you heard that a long lost carnival from far away times will be reappearing for a few nights in May to dazzle us?.
Shrouded in mystery, my research has drawn blanks...there is little to uncover. But whispers from over a century ago say that it is 'the most spellbinding and enchanting carnival...in the world!'.
Step into a world unlike no other and be prepared to expect the unexpected.
The story of The Lost Carnival has been unfolding since the beginning of the year and will continue to do so over the coming months and leading up to the event. By podcasts, produced by Arthur Bird a super maker of radio documentaries.
If like me you are intrigued, you can follow the story (so far)
and use the clues to solve the mysteries of the carnival.
The wait is almost over, have you got your ticket?
The carnival will be at Burrs Country Park, Bury 22 - 25th May 2015, all the general information you need can be found here
But if you still need more 'a tantalising tease' there is a faux exhibition of the carnival being held at Bury Art Museum.
