Calm has been restored again and to be quite honest, I've spent the past week soaking it up.  I love that we've started to crack on with the house, but hate the invasion into my space.  There is no happy compromise, apart from to grit my teeth and get on with it.

February is one of those tricky months.  

Still deep in Winter all cold and grey, but with the sudden promise and surprise in offering you a most beautiful and glorious day that catches your breath and takes the blues away.  It's almost worth falling in love with February, despite knowing the pain she can cause with a mood that could change so swiftly leaving you feeling even more bad tempered and blue.

The Goyt Valley

A missed opportunity took us high up into the Goyt Valley last weekend where the snow was still knee deep and piled high.  I'd been hankering for a play in these hills for a whole fortnight, tempting me with their snowiness from the windows of our four walls. But with roads impassable it made for treacherous fun. Adventures we love, but danger we're not so keen on.
